The Wills are thankful for...

...anyone who still bothers to check in here!!

I haven't posted for five months...I guess that's because I post so often on facebook...so if you and I are not facebook friends, we should be!  You would know a lot more about the Wills visiting that media source instead of this one....(that's assuming, of course, that you WANT to know more about the Wills!!)

However...since this is the only photo album I keep, I like to update every once in awhile...

So, what are we thankful for?

family...we are so very blessed to live near most of our family...

friends...we are so very blessed with forever friendships...there are a TON of people that are not pictured that we hold very dear to our hearts...but here are some memories from the fall (and from falls past) with our friends...

health...our children are very healthy and active...and someone in our family celebrated a "landmark" birthday!!...

traditions...that make our family so special...

the opportunity to do what I
love everyday.....

So as you can see...we stay very busy and although I often don't even remember to take pictures...
I do capture some of the memories.
We hope this update finds our three readers healthy and happy.

My very favorite picture...possibly of all time...

 Happy Thanksgiving...I'm thankful for you.

Happy Spring!

It's been awhile since I've posted...hello to my favorite three readers!!
I have so many cool things to share...not as many pictures as usual...but lots of fun news! Since I last posted we celebrated my nephew's birthday...he turned TWELVE...where on Earth does time go?!?! Anyway...I got a GREAT shot of the four kids that night at Buffalo Wild Wings...one of our favorite hang outs!
ALSO...since I've last posted...Bob has had his knee replaced...and I never even blogged about his HIP replacement...did you know we're creating the Million Dollar Man???
He had his right hip replaced the first week of January and he had the left knee replaced the first week of March...he is healing very well, his hip is feeling great, and he's working on the knee now...he'll be back coaching first base in no time....
Speaking of baseball...probably some of the most exciting news of all...
CONNOR EDWARD WILLS MADE THE URBANA HIGH SCHOOL JUNIOR VARSITY BASEBALL TEAM!!!
WOOHOO...he has had three scrimmages, had a great showing on the mound, and had his first single as a UHS player! His first game is this Thursday and we couldn't be more excited for him!
In other sports news...Kate Wills finished her first season as a basketball player...she had a lot of fun and is a really good dribbler, if I do say so myself!! She just had her team party this past week at Fosters and received her trophy!!

What can I say about Jake Wills...well, he's so busy that I don't get any pictures of him! He is practicing baseball on Tuesdays and Fridays and practicing basketball on Mondays and Wednesdays...and when he's not practicing with a team, he's usually shooting hoops on our driveway or up at the courts. He is constantly sweaty, dirty, and cute as can be!!
QUESTION: What do kids do on the first 78 degree day?!
ANSWER: Wash cars...or should I say, wash themselves?!!?
Kate, Ava, Jake, and Jacob took out the hose last week when it hit close to 80 degrees and made some money...they washed three cars and themselves and had a great time...they are such hams!
'til next time...

Kate and I went to the beach over President's Day weekend with Lisa, Mom, and Dad. Lisa took this picture...and I think it may be my absolute favorite picture. What is it about pictures from the back?!?!
LIFE IS GOOD.

Happy New Year!

I am ashamed at how much time has gone by since I last blogged...but if you have the stamina, I plan to catch all three of you readers up on the Wills' lives...so grab a drink and sit back and enjoy!!

Kate Wills' birthday celebration seems to go on for quite a while...but her two favorite celebrations were at her Godparents' house and her birthday party! It's hard to believe my baby girl is EIGHT YEARS OLD!!

Grandparents' Day at school fell during this celebration time, too!!
Germantown Indoor Swimming Pool was the venue for Miss Kate's party...and a luau was the theme...she did most of the planning herself!

As Thanksgiving approached...Kate's class had a day where parents could come and see all the work they'd been doing...like visiting a Plymouth Settlement...take a look...

Thanksgiving Day is one of my very favorite times of the year...coincidentally...one of my very favorite people ever usually visits then, too! If only California wasn't across the country!
A new tradition...building gingerbread houses on Thanksgiving Day!
Everyone at one table!!
Our annual trip to Rehoboth had a few glitches...
...but we still had an amazing time and got some great pictures on the beach!

We got our Christmas trees at Mayne's Farm this year...everyone helped cut them down!

Basketball is in full swing this winter...I only have pictures of Miss Kate as it is her debut season...but will take more in the upcoming month of the boys. Everyone is on a team they are enjoying...and it's a nice break for Bob and I that each kid is only on ONE team!!
CW decided to grow his hair out...and just as he hit the "I can flip my hair back like Justin Beiber" stage...
...it all came off again!
This is the CW we are accustomed to!
We had the honor of attending Hannah's ballet company's rendition of a Christmas Carol...she was amazing!
Anastasi women baking Christmas cookies...an annual tradition!

The Anastasi Christmas Party

I took a day off school to take Kate to the American Girl cafe with some of her friends...we had a great time and I believe started yet another Christmastime tradition!!

Kate's class joined the rest of the second grade making gingerbread houses..however, Kate's class made German homesteads...they had been studying German culture!

On December 22, we celebrated Megan's Adoption Day with one of our favorite families EVER!! The kids are always hamming it up when they're together!

Kate's Godparents gifted her with a mani/pedi for Christmas!
Christmas Eve...

Christmas morning....

Christmas at Grandma and Chip's house...
we were all gifted with safety vests for Christmas...

...they came in handy as the sun went down and everyone was trying to figure out how to get the football out of the tree...after throwing tons of rocks at the football, Jake came up with a brilliant idea...let's take a big rock, throw it on the pile of rocks to split it into smaller rocks, and then throw more...well, that idea led to...
...THIS.
Jake cut his finger open and had to have it glued back together...nothing like a little ER visit on Christmas Day!

The very next morning, bright and early, we headed to Tennessee!!
We had no idea how blessed with space we were...
...until this happened...
...look familiar?
YUP...transmission problem...again...
however this time, it resulted in needing to leave the van in Roanoke for the week...
we rented a car...and let's just say the space wasn't quite the same...
at the end of the Tennessee pictures, you'll see what I mean!
Doesn't matter how we got there...this is what was waiting for us...Evan Robert Wills, 6 months old. He is such a happy guy...and Robert and Kim are wonderful parents...we had a great time being together!

We drove 11 hours to get to the McGee Christmas party on time! We had a great time with family...

and...believe it or not...we're caught up!
New Year's Eve was celebrated in our usual way...a quiet night with friends...

As I reflect on 2011...I am humbled.
Bob and I are truly blessed to have our health, to have fantastic kids,
and to have amazing family and friends (especially you THREE readers).
Happy New Year!!
