Our August started off with Jake meeting his nephew, Evan!! If you remember, when we went to Chattanooga in June, Jake's team was in the championship of a tournament, so he stayed behind...it was a hard decision for him, and he was counting down the days until he got to hold his new buddy! Look at that smile!
We got to spend five whole days with Robert, Kim and Evan in early August...they came for a very special wedding!!
Evan met "Chippy" for the first time...
And as all our visits must, this one came to an end...after a yummy dinner out at the "Black Hog" in Urbana...we all had delicious barbeque...except Evan...he stuck with formula! We hope to reunite with our southern family at Christmas time this year!!
We made our annual trip to Rehoboth with Granny and Pop, Auntie and Francis, the second week of August. My Aunt Cora moved to Rehoboth in July, so we got to spend a lot of time with her, too! We had BEAUTIFUL weather while we were there!!
It is very hard to see this picture, but it is all four kids, Auntie, and Aunt Cora in the ocean...Aunt Cora even boogie boarded with the kids!!
{This picture is right after Aunt Cora's big wave!!}
When the weekend hit, Bob joined us! He had a new hairdo to show off...and for those of you that knew Bob, Sr...is the resemblence freaking you out?!?!!?
We continued to have amazing weather...
We had tons of rain on our last day in Rehoboth...and as only Kate can...she sang and danced for a long time in that rain!!
Just this past Friday night, the annual NFL Fantasy Football draft took place at our house...ten teams...all determined to have the best team ever!! These boys make me laugh...it was a lot of fun!!
And...for the first time in EIGHT years, there was no Labor Day kickball game...both boys played in the ESSEX LABOR DAY baseball tournament. Jake played U12 and his team went 1 and 2. Connor played U14...they played in the semi finals today and lost in the bottom of the ELEVENTH inning...5-4...it was a fantastic game. I get so into the games I forget to take pictures...I took two. The first one just made me laugh...not enough chairs, so they made it work while watching Jake play...
'til next time...
