June and July 2011

Due to my lapse in posting lately...making movies with all of my pictures is an easier way to upload them than one at a time on Blogger. I hope you enjoy the latest...click on the words "June and July 2011" below to see what we've been up to! Hope all three of you are enjoying your summer as much as we are!!

Crazy weekend...

I have soooo many pictures to post...but its not getting done anytime soon....let me just give you a look into my tomorrow...8:45 am - jake and I leave for somewhere in PA for his 11 o'clock soccer game, meanwhile Bob will be with Kate for her 9:30 softball game and then over to Connors noon baseball game...where we will meet up with them halfway through...I will grab Kate and take Jake to his 2pm baseball game...Connor has to somehow get to Chantilly, VA by 4pm (not gonna happen) for his 5pm and 8pm basketball games that jake and kate and I will get there just in time to see...and ohh yeah...bob works tomorrow night.  I'm exhausted just thinking about it all...gotta sleep...peace out.

kicking, heading, jumping...we do it all....

I can't take credit for most of these photos...two friends, both of whom are great photographers, took these pictures and sent them to me...if you read the previous post about my visit to Urgent Care and those miracle muscle relaxers...there's a pretty big clue in these pictures as to what happened...I guess my mind is a lot younger than my body...;-)

Robert and Kim's Visit 2011

We had such an amazing visit with Robert and Kim last week...they came in on Thursday, April 7 and stayed 'til Wednesday...we had a great balance of down time together and a lot of fun activities in six short days...the shower for my soon-to-be grandson was a definite highlight...Pat and Chip hosted so many of our family and friends who came to see Robert and Kim and shower them with gifts...it was a very fun night and they were so humbled by everyone! Also, while they were here, they got to see Connor play a basketball game, Jake play 2 baseball games, and Kate turn a million cartwheels! We got to spend three short hours with Wes and Mandy on Sunday...so much fun to all be together again!! And then all three kids got to take off school Tuesday, and the five of them went ice skating...well, Kim didn't skate, obviously. Oh, yeah...and of course, I can't forget to metion the trip to Urgent Care for both Robert and I...for him, an antibiotic, for me, muscle relaxers...good news...we're both fine now. Have I mentioned how freakin' cute my daughter-in-law is?!? She is such a beautiful pregnant woman. So...here are a few pictures and a movie...to see the movie, click on the words "Robert and Kim visit 2011" below. More pictures in about two more months...when we travel to Tennessee to meet our grandson!!

it's been awhile....

I can't begin to tell you (all three of you) how much I wish I could blog more than once a month...but I can't seem to do anything about it! We are so busy this spring...between the three kids we have 3 baseball teams, 1 softball team, 1 soccer team, 1 basketball team, and 1 competition dance team...makes my head swim just typing it! So far, so good...with a lot of help from friends and family! Below are the pictures from Kate's first dance competition of the year. We were in Columbia, Maryland for the Primetime Dance Competition. Her solo earned a second place and in the Top 10 high scores, and her 2 team dances also received second place...it was a great weekend!

This past weekend was Opening Day for the Urbana Jr. Hawks! Each team is announced and each player's name is called over the loud speaker...they run from home plate to first base and are greeted by the high school baseball and softball players...Bob is the head coach of Connor's 13U tournament team, assistant coach for Jake's travel team, and co-coach for Kate's softball team...he's busy, but loves it! Enjoy these shots from Opening Day!
